30 minute wait time around 10 am but well worth it. Service was fast and got all of our food within 10 minutes. Food came out hot and fresh and the Our West Burrito for 11 dollars is hard to beat. Hot, fresh, cheesy devilishness. The biscuits and gravy were also a steal. tons of food for $8. Very generous portions and delicious definitely must try if you’re in the area.
This place is a perfect blend of great comfort food and small-town hospitality. I stopped in at 10 am. on a Wednesday. The place was packed with a dozen people waiting in a small waiting area. I sat at the last seat at the bar ,chicken fried steak was my choice, and I was not disappointed .So crispy, not greasy country potatoes perfect, gravy on point, fresh carrot cake muffin with whipped butter.I watched many beautiful plates leaving the kitchen and observed fast efficient kitchen staff . I was told by the owner that on weekends, it's 1 and a half to 2 hours wait with a line around the building. This place is famous for their cornbeef hash only served on Friday's and sells out by noon, also only breakfast and lunch served. I can't wait to go back on Friday. Almost forgot the owner was my server, and she was so nice and answered all my questions. I was very impressed 👏 👌.
They close at 2 on Sundays and we showed up around 1:20 and there were people waiting to be seated before us. They did not make us feel rushed at all! Took our order and brought everything out hot and cooked with care. Everything was very good! The waitress was amazing and very attentive! Made sure we had everything we needed. This place is definitely going into our rotation for breakfast.
I got the opportunity to go to this breakfast place with my family. The food was delicious and there was various options to choose from. The wait time was about 30-45 minutes on a Sunday morning. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. The waitress was very Informative and accommodating, he informed us of some recommendations. He definitely made us feel pleased. I will definitely be coming back next time I go back to this town. Thank you for your service and an amazing customer service. Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch.
Was amazing good food for breakfast and the service and people are super nice and amazing ! The owner is super sweet, kind and caring towards customers. I would recommend to others to come and try. Pancakes are nice n fluffy!
We were seated promptly by a friendly hostess. We were asked and given our preferred drinks (me:coffee, him: orange juice). Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She checked on us often without being Intrusive. We both ordered omelets (Popeye and Cowboy) with hash browns and I opted for the delicious pumpkin muffin, with chocolate chips! The hash browns were cooked perfectly crisp on the outside and warm on the inside! The omelets were very good, delicious with cheese stretching out through each forkful. Yummm! They also have an in house salsa that was spicy without being too hot! Also so good I asked for some to take home! Can’t wait to come back and try more items!
Super comfy breakfast spot that was packed but pushing them plates out. Hamburger was decent, however the tuna sandwich was tasty and the soup was great also. Would come back for breakfast again. 😋
One thing, the entrance is in the back and so is the hostess. They need to put a sign on the front door to direct people to the back. Otherwise everything was delicious well prepared to our expectations ! The drive and wait of over 20 minutes was worth it! If you’re not hungry order from the kids menu.
Our favorite breakfast place if in Santa Cruz or Monterey! Good ol' country cooking at it's finest. My favorite is their delicious chicken fried steak with country gravy. Had country potatoes, 2 eggs, and a large biscuit with strawberry jam. My wife and I split it and it was plenty. The steak is crispy and you could eat it without the gravy. Coffee was abundant and cup never went empty. Service is always great even if the place is packed (which it usually is). Place is always clean and plenty of parking in the back or on the street. When nearby, give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
The best breakfast steak I’ve ever had eaten. I ordered it medium and it came perfect. You could cut it with a butterknife :)
